This is "do as I say, not as I do" at its finest. The united front of big tech on returning to the office seems hypocritical when you realize that at the very same time every one of them makes and sells virtual communication products. #Amazon built it's entire business on the idea that you did not need to go to a store to hold a book, try on clothes, or see the TV before you buy it only to state that virtual work is not as good. #Meta literally renamed themselves after the concept of a virtual online world, and spent a fortune on VR goggles, only to want employees in the office. #Apple makes Facetime, but wants employees to work face to face. ![]() #Microsoft makes Teams, but wants its teams in the office. #Google makes Google Meet, but wants its people to meet in person. Big tech is massively hypocritical about remote work. ![]()
